Abby’s House

2026 brings incredible excitement for the Mission as we prepare for the launch of our new permanent housing program, “Abby’s House,” with the Grand Opening scheduled for September 2026. In 2023, following the sale of our 6th Street property in Bremerton, we were blessed to acquire a spacious family home, which is now undergoing renovations to better serve those in need.

We are witnessing an increasing number of women, particularly seniors, inside the emergency shelter with limited resources and no viable housing opportunities due to extremely low incomes and a shortage of affordable housing units. Our heartfelt prayer has been to find a way to offer these women a stable and welcoming home.

Abby’s House will provide 12 women with transitional housing, supported by safe, long-term, faith-based care. The program will feature a combination of single and shared rooms, and residents will contribute nominal rent based on their income to help cover utilities and other expenses. This initiative will be a much-needed extension of our emergency shelter, specifically designed for women who have nowhere else to turn.

As we look ahead to the New Year, we sincerely hope we can continue to count on your support.
