Welcome!
We are pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Murphy to our staff. Kevin will serve at the Mission as our Business Operations Director, overseeing accounting, HR, and facilities. Kevin comes to us with twenty plus years of management experience along with a BA in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Finance. Kevin also brings twenty plus years of volunteer experience in service to our marginalized brothers and sisters. Join me in welcoming Kevin to the Kitsap Rescue Mission family. We are so fortunate that he has chosen to join us! His email is kmurphy@kitsaprescue.org.
Goodbye!
Carol White, our Kitchen Ministry Coordinator who brought hospitality, sunshine, and hugs to all at KRM – along with good home cooked meals, will be leaving us at the end of October. Many of you also know Dave White, her husband, a long-time front desk volunteer and board member. They have decided to sell their home, purchase a lovely RV and see the country. We know that wherever they go, they will offer welcome and the love of Jesus to all they meet. So please join us saying goodbye! Carol and Dave, we hate to see you go, but trust that God is leading you into some wonderful new adventures.
Good news!
Our lease at the Pavilion, which has been month to month, has been extended through the end of the year. We want to thank the Kitsap Parks and Recreation leadership and our wonderful partners at the Kitsap County Department of Human Services for making this possible. The Pavilion has offered us the opportunity to experience sharing the shelter with our guests on a 24 hour basis – and we love it!
Give!
More ways to give! KRM is now included with CFC, the Combined Federal Campaign which makes it possible for federal employees to donate through their workplace. If you are a federal employee, you can now give to KRM through CFC. KRM CFC code is 78568. We are so grateful for your continuous partnership to serve those who are without homes.
With Gratitude,
Executive Director
